Some sessions feel a little extra special, and Macy’s was definitely one of them! Macy’s sister is interning with me this summer, so getting to work with her and their family in this way was such a joy. There’s something really meaningful about being trusted by someone who’s seen your work behind the scenes—and then having the chance to create magic for their own family? That’s the best part of what I do.
We headed to one of my all-time favorite spots for her session. It’s a beautiful location that I come back to again and again because of how easily accessible it is—and that lake view! There’s just something about the way the light hits the water and reflects off the trees that makes it perfect for soft, golden-hour portraits.
Macy totally nailed her session. From her outfit choices to the way she settled into the session with confidence and ease, she made capturing her senior year such a fun and relaxed experience. I’m so excited for what this year holds for her—and even more thankful I got to be the one to document this big moment.
We had so much fun on her session, that I ended up asking her to be a part of a creative session that I did a little later in the summer. I am always able to be more relaxed and creative on those types of shoots, so I was so excited about what we captured and will be sharing more from that soon!
