What cap and gown sessions really mean

And for Regan, that included sharing this moment with one of her closest friends.


Doing it together

Regan and Chloe chose to do their session together—and I wish more seniors realized how special this can be.

Because yes, we captured beautiful individual photos of each of them.

But the images of them together?

Those are the ones that feel like a time capsule.

The laughing in between shots.

The way they hyped each other up.

The easy, natural connection that you can’t fake.

At Iroquois West High School, everything felt familiar to them.

Comfortable.

And that comfort shows up in the photos.

It’s not about finding the most “aesthetic” location—it’s about choosing a place that already holds meaning.

Because years from now, these photos won’t just remind them what they looked like.

They’ll remind them:

where they were

who they were with

and what it felt like to be right on the edge of something new
