Wondering how to structure your wedding day?
Here's a sample timeline! There are several things that have to be assumed in structuring a wedding day timeline, so for you, there may need to be adjustments. I just wanted to create a sample that allows couples to use as they are planning.
10:30 am - Photographer arrives to do detail and candid shots
12:30 pm - Bride gets into her dress / Groom gets ready
1:00 pm - First look and bride and groom portraits
1:45 pm - Bridal party portraits
2:30 pm - Bride and Groom tuck away
3:00 pm - Ceremony begins
4:00 pm - Family photos
5:00 pm - Reception entrance
I personally like to schedule about 45 minutes to an hour for bride & groom portraits, bridal party portraits, and family portraits. While they may not take that long, it allows for some extra time in case things start running behind (which happens a lot on wedding days).
As a photographer, one of my jobs is to create a timeline that is unique to your day! So, if you don't want to do a first look, I will rearrange timelines to put bride & groom portraits after the ceremony. Everything can be adjusted to make your wedding day flow smoothly!
